Camp performance of Schoolhouse Rock Live! Junior
July 10, Thursday, 7:00 PM and July 11, Friday, 1:00PM
Brand new school teacher "Tom" is very nervous about his first day of teaching. When he tries to relax by his television, the Schoolhouse Rock group suddenly appear before him and show him how to win the attention of his students through imagination and music. The songs cover math, science, history and grammar and show that learning can be fun!
The Emmy® Award-winning Saturday morning educational cartoon series is the basis for one of the most fun, energetic, flexible and easily mounted musicals ever to hit the school stage! Tom, a school teacher nervous about his first day of teaching, tries to relax by watching TV. Suddenly, the Schoolhouse Rock bunch appear in his home and proceed to show him how to win over his students with imagination and music, through beloved Schoolhouse Rock songs that cover math, science, history and grammar.
Camp performance of Godspell, Jr.
July 31, Thursday, 7:00 PM and August 1 Friday, 1:00 PM
A junior version of the hit show Godspell by Stephen Schwartz. Students will recreate the gospel according to Matthew with 15 songs, dancing and colorful costumes. Following closely on the heels of the similarly-themed Jesus Christ Superstar, it opened off-Broadway on May 17, 1971 and has played in various touring companies and revivals many times since. Several cast albums have been released over the years and one of its songs, “Day By Day” from the original cast album, reached #13 on the Billboard pop singles chart in the summer of 1972. Godspell became one of the longest-running off-Broadway musicals before moving to Broadway in June 1976, where it ended its run in September 1977 after an additional 527 performances, for a total of more than 2,600. A film version of the musical was released in 1973, set in modern New York, and featuring Victor Garber, David Haskell, and Lynne Thigpen.

Madame’s jealous butler Edgar cat-naps Duchess and her Aristokittens and abandons them in the French countryside. What’s a cat to do? Luckily, Thomas O’Malley and his rag-tag bunch of Alley Cats come to their rescue! This feline adventure features a hep, jazzy beat, and includes the Disney favorites “The Aristocats,” “Scales and Arpeggios” and “Ev’rybody Wants to Be a Cat.”

Follow the adventures of advice-giver extraordinaire, Edwina Spoonapple, as she directs the kids in the neighborhood in production number after hilarious production number in her "Advice-A-Palooza" extravaganza. Written in the style of Schoolhouse Rock Live! and You're A Good Man Charlie Brown, Dear Edwina Junior is the perfect girl power musical for a new generation. ($400)
